Black beans and chickpeas cooked from their dried state. After soaking overnight (doubling in size), they were boiled in water for 45 minutes until they reached the desired texture. Added to a simple green salad with tofu, carrots and tossed together with a homemade tahini + soy sauce + honey salad dressing. Homemade beans have a completely different texture and flavor compared to their canned counterparts. Try it out!
